Cloud computing has emerged as a transformative technology for modern libraries, enabling efficient management, storage, and access to digital information resources. By providing scalable and on-demand computing services over the internet, cloud platforms allow libraries to reduce infrastructure costs, improve service delivery, and enhance collaboration among institutions and users. This paper examines the role of cloud computing in library environments, highlighting its applications in digital repositories, integrated library systems, data storage, and remote access to information resources. Cloud-based solutions support libraries in managing large volumes of digital content while ensuring data security, reliability, and accessibility. Furthermore, cloud computing facilitates resource sharing, interoperability, and real-time services that improve user experience and support research and learning activities. Despite these advantages, challenges such as data privacy, internet dependency, and vendor lock-in remain critical concerns for libraries adopting cloud technologies. The study emphasizes the need for strategic planning, policy development, and technical capacity to effectively implement cloud computing solutions in library systems.
