For Authors
The OJSTH Guidelines for Authors outline comprehensive requirements for manuscript preparation, submission, structure, formatting, referencing, and authorship management. Manuscripts must be written in clear English (with limited allowances for local languages for Ethiopian authors), adhere to defined article types and length limits, and follow strict formatting and layout standards. Clear instructions are provided for figures, tables, charts, schemes, equations, and supplementary materials to ensure consistency and readability. Download the Article Tamplate
The guidelines define the standard structure of manuscripts, including title page, abstract, keywords, main body sections, acknowledgements, conflict of interest statements, data availability, and references. Detailed guidance is given for preparing each section, including titles, author information, abstracts, keywords, and core research sections. OJSTH follows the APA author–date citation system, with extensive examples covering a wide range of source types to ensure accurate and ethical referencing.
In addition, OJSTH establishes clear policies for quotations, footnotes, and ethical attribution of sources. The document also provides detailed procedures for changes in authorship, including addition, removal, reordering, or name changes, both before and after publication. These processes emphasize transparency, written consent from all authors, institutional involvement when disputes arise, and formal corrections to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the scholarly record.
